Registered Nurse – Aged Care | Orewa, North Auckland Join a family-owned aged care facility in beautiful Orewa, set on 8 acres of peaceful grounds. This 35-bed home (25 Dementia, 10 Rest Home) delivers award-winning care and is seeking a compassionate, confident RN to join their team. About the Role You will work across rest home and dementia care, with the majority of your time in the secure dementia unit. You’ll take a key clinical role and help maintain the facility’s high standards. Key responsibilities include:
Infection Control
Completing Long-Term Care Plans
Participating in MDT meetings
Making referrals
Supporting caregivers and providing clinical leadership
General RN duties across the facility
You’ll be supported by:
1 other RN
A hands-on Facility Manager with 6+ years dementia experience
39 HCAs (most medication competent)
What We’re Looking For
Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of NZ aged care experience
Strong understanding of aged care practices and standards
Excellent communication skills and clear English
Confident stepping into a leadership role
Ability to multi-task and think quickly in a changing environment
InterRAI trained (or willing to train)
Comfortable working with dementia-level care
Genuine passion for resident-centred care — not just clocking in for a job
Roster & Conditions
Preferably full-time (part-time considered)
Rotational roster across 7 days
Shifts: 7am–3pm and 1pm–9pm
No night shifts
On-call required (after hours & when second RN is off)
