These are excellent opportunities to join a supportive Paediatrics department in Whangārei in training roles. Accredited by the RACP, these 24-month runs contribute towards either basic or advanced paediatric training. The programmes include rotations in rural practice, general paediatrics, and community/developmental paediatrics, providing broad exposure and strong foundations for your paediatric career.
In these roles, you will:
Work closely with Paediatricians across General Paediatrics, Neonatology, and Acute Care
Gain supervised experience managing diverse paediatric presentations in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Participate in acute admissions, including neonatal and high-acuity paediatric cases
Develop skills in family-centred care while working in a culturally diverse community
Access regional networks and support from visiting subspecialty consultants
Contribute to teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff and students
Current full registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand
At least 1 year of paediatrics experience at registrar level (or equivalent)
Commitment to paediatrics as a specialty and enthusiasm for training in this field
Willingness to contribute to a collaborative, supportive team environment
