We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead a 57-bed aged care facility located in Glendowie, Auckland. This facility offers primarily hospital-level care with some rest home residents and has a strong reputation for quality care and a warm, supportive environment.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the care suites, ensuring high standards of resident care and a positive team culture.
Minimum 3 years’ management experience in aged care or hospital setting
Current NZ Registered Nurse (RN) registration
Strong clinical knowledge and leadership skills
Excellent communication and customer service
Warm, approachable, and dynamic personality
Ability to build strong relationships with residents and families
InterRAI experience (ideal but not essential)
AM shift: 3 RNs + 12 caregivers
PM shift: 2 RNs + 9 caregivers
Nights: 4 caregivers (no RNs)
Also responsible for 2 guest relations/concierge staff
40 hours per week – flexible start and finish times
1 weekend per month (shared roster)
No on-call
Hourly rate: $56–$62 + $7 weekend allowance
Supportive management team (reports to Director of Care & Operations and Clinical Manager)
Start date: Ideally end of November
