We are recruiting on behalf of a trusted, well‑established GP practice in Whakatāne, seeking a General Practitioner to provide locum cover for a 12‑month maternity leave assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who values continuity of care, enjoys becoming part of a community, and is open to a longer‑term locum placement.
About the Role You will be joining a friendly and collaborative medical centre supported by a team of four permanent GPs working 6/10 to 8/10, along with another locum in place until August.
Workload: Standard GP sessions with a well‑established patient base

To Be Suitable
Full MCNZ registration with no restrictions on scope of practice
FRNZCGP, vocationally registered, or eligible for Locum Tenens / Special Purpose Locum
Able to work confidently and collaboratively within a general practice
Open to considering a longer locum block and/or relocating temporarily
