Vacancy: Care Home Manager (Aged Care) Location: Masterton, North Wellington Salary: $130,000 - $140,000 per annum (with potential allowance for village sales) Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Start Date: April (flexibility available)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Care Home Manager to oversee our two sites, which include a 100-bed home and hospital with a vibrant village and a secure dementia unit. This is a crucial role as we continue to expand our 33 Village Units to 54 in the next two years, enhancing the quality of care we provide to our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of approximately 120 staff across both sites, reporting to the Regional Manager who has previously managed the sites.
Ensure high standards of care and support for our residents.
Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team with strong personalities, including 2 Clinical Nurse Managers, 3 Clinical Coordinators, approximately 7-8 RNs, caregivers, and non-clinical staff.
Collaborate with residents and staff to create a positive living environment.
Oversee operational and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
Maintain on-call responsibility (24/7), though the likelihood of being called out is low, typically just a handful of times throughout the year.
Ideal Candidate:
Strong management background in healthcare settings, preferably in aged care.
Assertive and confident leader who can engage with a forthright team.
This is a non-clinical role, open to RNs and candidates without nursing registration.
Open to candidates from outside the region, with potential relocation support and temporary accommodation available
The current manager is retiring after several years, and we are looking for someone who can carry on the legacy of compassionate and effective leadership.
